Briana started line dancing in 2003 at Nepean Rowing Club. She was noticed for her dancing abilities and was asked to join Red Hot & Country, which at the time consisted of: Corrina, Kristen and Sam. Briana helped choreograph her first comp routine with the rest of the team (including her sister Karlie). The team practiced every Sunday in Briana’s garage upon the lead-up to the Australian Championships. At the age of 9, Briana had her 1st competition at the Australian LineDance Championships at Tamworth with Red Hot & Country. Her first entry was in the 10yrs and Under Duo with dance partner at the time Corrina Baars, and they gained the Australian Title by being awarded 1st place! Her next entry was in the 10yrs and Under Trio with Corrina, and her sister Karlie. They danced the dance they choreographed (Chicago’) and was awarded 2nd Place! Briana was more than happy with her outcome! Briana then took competition more seriously.
