Elise stated dancing at the ripe young age of 2. She mainly did jazz, tap and ballet.
Elise was introduced to Linedancing by her Uncle Robert (from Northern Riders). Elise began going to Kelvin’s classes at the age of 10, she saw Kristen and ex Red Hot & Country member Paul Snooke practice for up coming competitions and liked what she saw! She was then spotted by one of the Red Hot & Country Coaches, Kristen, and was asked to join the team. Elise was then 11 years old.
Elise started travelling to training with Kristen every Sunday. We were training for the Sydney Showdown (which unfortunately no longer exists). Elise had to learn quite a few routines. One of which, she not only had to learn how to flick her hat, but also spin it as well! All the hard work paid off, she came home with 2 gold and 2 bronze medals! Since this comp, Elise has never looked back!

Elise’s first Tamworth was 2006. She bit the bullet and went into a solo section. To her surprise, she beat the reining champion in the under 16s, and took out Gold in the 16yrs & Under Standard Solo. Elise was ecstatic! Especially considering she stepped up an age category, she was, at that time, in the under 12s category but chose to dance in the under 16s as well! To date, Elise has won many medals, approximately over 40!! At the Australian Championships in 2006, she gained 5 Australian Titles and in 2007 she claimed 2.
Elise has contributed significantly to choreographing many competition routines, to date, they are:
* Way To Go (duo with Briana, then became trio with Kristen). * Toolbox (u16s team dance) * Homeless Heart (waltz duo with Kristen) * I Was
Wrong (waltz duo with Briana) * Sold (part of freestyle routine with Kristen) * Candyman (duo with Kristen) * Becky (duo with Kristen) ‘dance name yet to be disclosed’ (duo with Kristen) |
